Charm is partly due to Ingratiation by Meaning Steps

To the extent two attitudes constitute the same essence, there will be an ingratiation effect between them. The result is basically that less complex attitudes that more efficiently ingratiates more complex ones. For example, seven contains two meaning steps from four, which can in a sense multiply the four more efficiently than can an ordinary two, in the sense that seven is there before eight. Thereby, humility (seven) sort of charms feelings (eight), and thereby also the version of it that pertains to it's first meaning step (seventeen). Similarly, cowardice (thirty-one) is sort of charmed by personal memory (thirteen) and by evil (twenty-nine). This amounts to that one cannot easily be proudly a coward without tendencies to benefit both memory and evil. Likewise, one cannot be proudly emotional without benefiting humility. ...

I mean, in other words, ingratiation using a certain number of meaning levels results in binding whatever is thereby defined as meaningful to whatever the property there is implied by the number of meaning levels, and very much vice versa too, I think. With seven, I have it that this can mean that the two and the four that the seven uses, bind together to sort of form an eight. This property can be used for a special form of simulation (which I have also called forestallement) - of eight, in this case.

In other words, I believe that the number of categories represented by the number of meaning steps can be (at least sort of) forced upon the categorization structure of a prelude. That is, I mean that the five can be viewed as the essence of the four being adapted to oneness with the universe. In a seven, the five can be viewed as having a stronger tendency for one factor (or a oneness factor) to it, and the four thereby as having a two factor when taking part in that seven. With a thirteen the four can have a three factor to it, the five a two-factor and the seven a one factor in that kind of a way.

Hence with personal memory (thirteen), there are several potential forestall  -  or charm  -   associations between it and some other qualities. Firstly, there's one with ordinary three times four, twelve as well as with the as with the meaning version of twelve, i.e. thirty-one. Secondly there is that also with ten and its meaning version, twenty-three. Thirdly there is one with seven, and then also with thirteen itself, since it is the meaning version of seven.

As it seems, at least three of those associated to are simple enough to forestall thirteen. But in practice, such forestall, or charm, capacity tends to be rendered incomplete to the extent it lacks meaning. That is, to begin with, seven can hardly forestall its own meaning step (thirteen), because it cannot counteract its own meaning and still work as charm. Twelve clearly lacks meaning meaning enough to be effectively forestalling thirteen. With ten, with five as its partial meaning step, could sometimes forestall a thirteen, but that is perhaps only when and to the extent that thirteen ignores its own meaning version, i.e. thirty-seven. this is so very much because the specification target of thirty-seven is exactly ten.
